The BPIF is the business support organisation for employers in the printing, packaging and graphic communications industry. We represent approximately 3000 member companies throughout the UK (excluding Scotland). We actively lobby government and other key national and european decision-makers on issues that affect our industry and:
- organise regular meetings with MPs and government departments
- are a member of Intergraf (European print trade association)
- are active in the CBI both nationally and locally
- liaise with regional government bodies
### Our principal aim is to improve the profitability of the industry through providing effective business support. We do this by:
- providing a range of tailored services to individual companies, from general management, finance, human resources, training, purchasing, production, marketing and sales.
- representing the industry to, amongst others, Westminster, Brussels, trade unions and other organisations.
- providing networking opportunities for BPIF members to meet and exchange information.
### The BPIF's priority tasks are to:
- assist BPIF members to manage the effects of technological change
- assist BPIF members' cost reduction
- assist BPIF members' sales and marketing
- provide training in the form of upskilling geared to new investment
- provide support in the area of human resource issues raised by new employment legislation.
