"SOJUZUPAK" is a non-profit, non-state organization which was set up in 1994 and which gathers organizations, enterprises and firms involved in development, manufacturing, sale and consumption of packaging products in the Russian Federation and CIS - countries on voluntary lines.
"SOJUZUPAK's" founders are the biggest Russian manufacturers of packaging products, machinery and equipment as well as the only in Russia specialized magazine "Tara i upakovka".
Among over 320 members there is a whole range of organizations and enterprises dealing with packaging business. All of them are consolidated by a desire for promotion and for a more efficient and civilized work with potential customers under market economy and growing competition conditions.
The geography of the Association's members is wide: from harbour Nakhodka to Kaliningrad. The Association includes packaging enterprises and organizations from Ukraine, Belorussia, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Latvia as well as foreign firms.
Regional representative offices of the Association are located in Kazan, Saratov, Samara, Krasnodar, Yekaterinburg, St.-Petersburg, Cheliabinsk, Karelia.
The "SOJUZUPAK" association is a co-organizer of biggest packaging exhibitions in Russia - "ROSUPAK" and "LabelShow" as well as a participant of many specializes exhibitions in Russia and abroad.
"SOJUZUPAK" as an organizer of annual Russian competitions:
- for the best package: "Package-Star of Russia"
- for the best label: "Russian Style"
- for the best student work in packaging area: "Clock-work orange".
Some activity areas of the Association include:
- Running of specialized conferences, symposia, seminars;
- Promoting the development of international relations;
- Publishing and distribution of specialized literature;
- Training and re-training of personel;
- Arranging the work of Russian specialists on probation abroad;
- Rendering marketing, advertising, consulting and analytical services.
The membership in the association "SOJUZUPAK" is open to Russian or foreign enterprises and organizations adopting the Association's Chapter, manufacturing packaging materials, machines, equipment, packaging products, supplying raw materials, financing the production or carrying out investigations, design, polygraphic decoration of packaging products; to educational establishments training the specialists for packaging industry, consulting firms as well as to all interested enterprises, organizations, businessmen, consumers (customers) of packaging products.
