China Packaging Technology Association is a nation-wide packaging professional organization, founded with approval of the State Department and managed by the State Economy & Trade Committee. The Association is an unconstrained economic, technological and research organization of packaging enterprises, institutions, social and organization's legal-men. It is a group member of China Science & Technology Association.
CPTA was born at the beginning of China's Reform and Open Policy and has been developed and expanded along with penetration of the Reform and Open Policy.
The Association's tenet is: with nation's economic construction as the center, to provide services to packaging enterprises, institutions and packaging workers with all our hearts and souls; to promote packaging industry development.
Its function is to manage the whole profession.
It is an assistant and a brainman for the governmental macrodecision-making.
It is a bridge and a ligament between government and enterprises.
CPTA has a management function to the whole nation's Packaging profession.
In accordance with the instructions of the State Council, the main responsibilities of CPTA are as follows:
1. To actively assist related governmental units to do well packaging management; to answer government and related units enquiry about packaging; to undertake affairs submitted by the government and related branches; to put forward plans and suggestions for the development of the packaging industry; to submit suggestions of packaging laws and regulations and policies to the government and related branches; to report member's requirements to the government.
2. To promote goods packaging.
3. To promote packaging statistics researches; to collect and publish the profession's information.
4. To issue the Association's publications (newspapers, magazines, internal publications, etc.).
5. To participate the profession's laws and regulations' construction and improvement; to popularize them all through the whole profession providing explanation and publicity of those laws and policies to the packaging enterprises, institutions and individuals; to assist related governmental branches in issuing packaging product's production certificates and qualification attestations so as to well control the product's quality.
6. To protect all member's legal rights and harmonize member's relationships; to make professional moral codes and profession regulations and limits; to supervise members to execute them; to maintain equal competition within the profession.
7. To organize packaging product expositions, technology exchanges and co-operations; to supply counseling services; to supply national and international technical, economic and marketing information to members.
8. To organize personel training; to supervise and help enterprises improve management and marketing; to diagnose enterprise's management and marketing so as to improve its level.
9. To establish relationships with foreign packaging organizations for international economic communication and co-operation.
10. To choose through public appraisal, praises and rewards super excellent packaging individuals and vrews.
11. To improve job opportunity commonweal affairs.
12. To launche economic entities to reinforce itself; to develop new services and areas in order to aim at its service power.
Packaging Technology Associations of all provinces, municipalities, municipalities directly under the Central Government, cities directly under State planning, China Packaging Technology Association's functional sections and branches form a packaging professional net covering the whole country and they are sacrificing an important effect to packaging career.
CPTA has 24 direct specialized committees, 3 specialized branch associations, 1 newspaper office, 2 magazine offices, and 1 almanac editorial office.
CPTA has some economic entities reinforcing the association's service power, improving packaging technical promotion, assisting the government more effectively and serving more effectively all member units and all national and international enterprises.
CPTA has more than 5,000 group members and more than 2,000 individual members. It has gathered the whole profession's backbone enterprises, best management, research and design elites.
CPTA has established relationships and co-operations with more than 20 countries or districts' packaging organzations.
Standig for China, it has joined the World Packaging Organization.
China Packaging Technology Association's style is: Comity, Co-operation and Fact-seeking.
